The ANE Pediatric Stroke Foundation hosted its "Painting for a Cause" event at "A Piece of Work" in Fort Worth, Texas on the evening of Friday, August 17, 2012, and what a great event it was.  In attendance were a fabulous group of supporters, a great artist (Diana Gibson), a wonderful business owner (Beverly Rector – A Piece of Work), and members of the ANE Pediatric Stroke Foundation.  The painting selected was titled "Nurture", and this delightful masterpiece was replicated by all participants, and the result was grand. 

Seven works completed by our neo-artists were donated to the ANE Pediatric Stroke Foundation, which will be packaged and shipped to children and families who have experienced the unfortunate event of a pediatric stroke.  Please view our "Painting for a Cause" video, and enjoy the moments of this great night.

]]> http://anepsfoundation.org/news/our-heroes-video/feed/ 0 Raising Awareness in FWISD http://anepsfoundation.org/news/raising-awareness-in-fwisd/ http://anepsfoundation.org/news/raising-awareness-in-fwisd/#comments Mon, 16 Apr 2012 03:16:12 +0000 anepsfoundation http://anepsfoundation.org/?p=855 more »]]> The ANE Pediatric Stroke Foundation has received approval from the Fort Worth Independent School District to raise awareness in elementary schools (Kindergarten – 5th Grade) throughout Fort Worth, Texas.  The message we plan to deliver will focus on the reality of pediatric strokes, the purpose of the ANE Pediatric Stroke Foundation, and details regarding the F.A.S.T. system.  Additionally, the children will have an opportunity to participate in the “Coloring for Pediatric Stroke Awareness” contest by coloring and submitting the picture located on the backside of the awareness flyer.  We are definitely excited about this opportunity, and we look forward to expanding this initiative to all areas throughout the DFW region and beyond.

Times Ten Cellars provided a great environment and a splendid variety of wines as we proceeded forward with achieving our mission of the day.  Members (Geraldine Williams and Bailey Langdon) of Cook Children’s Health Foundation attended the event as well, and spoke regarding their organization and how funds contributed will benefit the neurological unit at Cook Children’s Health Care System. 

We are extremely grateful to all who were in attendance at this spectacular event, and we look forward to hosting future events as we strive relentlessly in our efforts to achieve the mission and vision of the ANE Pediatric Stroke Foundation.

During the event, 4 all-day admission tickets to Schlitterbahn New Braunfels Waterpark were raffled, in an effort to raise funds to support the mission and vision of the ANE Pediatric Stroke Foundation. 

We are extremely grateful to all in attendance, and we look forward holding more awareness events, as we move forward in our effort to inform the world that pediatric strokes are real.

This donation will provide many therapists, both physical and occupational, with additional rehabilitative resources, as they work relentlessly and compassionately towards the physical and mental restoration of children who have experienced an unfortunate neurological event.  The ANE Pediatric Stroke Foundation looks forward to building our relationship with Cook Children Medical Center and other medical and rehabilition facilities, throughout the state of Texas, as we move forward in our efforts to achieve the mission and vision of our foundation.
